These sheep have a strong physique. The average weight of the queens is 60 kg, the rams are 110 kg. With good care, it can be much higher. The main suit is black and red. Black Edilbaev sheep can grow a large fat tail and have the best indicators for wool quality. On average, 3 kg from one individual are cut per year. Lamb meat has a tender taste. Adults give fatty milk, at least 120 liters per year. It makes excellent cheeses and butter. Able to graze in any weather, have excellent health. Especially common in Kazakhstan, Bashkiria, Tatarstan.
The breed was bred in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, less widespread in Russia and Ukraine. The main color is dark red or brown with red. The average weight of a sheep is 90 kg, although the greasy subspecies can gain up to 150. The wool is very coarse. It is more profitable to use young animals for meat. Milk can be obtained within 2 months after lambing. Sheared wool from a good individual no more than 2 kg per year.
